PENNE WITH MUSHROOMS AND VODKA SAUCE

USING CO-OP GOLD VODKA SAUCE

INGREDIENTS

1   tablespoon olive oil
½   medium onion, diced
4   garlic cloves, minced
1   jar CO-OP GOLD Vodka Sauce
300   grams fresh mushrooms, sliced
300   grams penne pasta
  parmesan cheese to taste

DIRECTIONS

  • Prep. Time: 5 minutes
  • Cook Time: approximately 15 minutes
  • Serves: 4-6

In a large skillet, saute onion in olive oil on medium heat until onion softens.


Add garlic and fresh mushrooms, cook for 1-2 minutes while stirring often. Add CO-OP GOLD Vodka Sauce.


Simmer on low heat for 8-10 minutes until mushrooms are cooked.


In the meantime, cook penne pasta according to package directions.


Pour drained penne pasta into mushroom sauce mixture and serve with parmesan cheese.


Optional: Add diced cooked chicken breast to the sauce while simmering.
